This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications published by TerraByte on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including any applications released now or in the future (collectively, the “Apps”).

This Privacy Policy is app-agnostic and feature-agnostic.
The types of information collected and processed may vary depending on the specific App you use and the features you choose to enable.

This Privacy Policy is independent from, but should be read together with, our Terms of Use.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information only to the extent necessary to operate, improve, and support the Apps.

2.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Apps, we may automatically collect the following categories of information:

a) Device Information

Such as device model, operating system version, language, region, and other technical attributes.

This may include technical identifiers provided by the platform, such as IDFV, IDFA (iOS), or GAID (Android), where permitted and subject to your consent.

b) App Usage & Interaction Data

Information about how you interact with the Apps, including features used, session duration, and general usage patterns.

c) Analytics & Performance Data

Such as crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics used to monitor stability and improve functionality.

d) Advertising Data

Advertising-related data, including advertising identifiers, used to support ad delivery and measure effectiveness in accordance with platform rules and user consent.

2.2 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or process:

  • Payment or billing information (such as credit card or bank details)
  • Sensitive personal data, unless required by applicable law

All payments, subscriptions, and in-app purchases are processed directly by the applicable app store, and TerraByte does not have access to your payment information.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Apps, and to provide their intended functionality.

In particular, information may be used to:

  • Enable and support core features of the Apps
  • Improve app performance, stability, and user experience
  • Analyze usage trends and diagnose technical issues
  • Provide customer support and respond to user inquiries
  • Display and measure advertisements, where applicable
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use

Analytics and performance data are used to understand how the Apps function and to improve reliability and usability. Such data is not used to track users across apps or websites for advertising purposes without user consent.

For certain Apps and features, we may access devices available on your local network in order to enable core functionality, such as discovering and connecting to compatible devices within the same network. This access is used solely to provide the requested features and does not involve collecting, storing, or transmitting the contents of your local network.

We do not require users to create accounts to use the Apps. As a result, the technical and usage information collected through the Apps is not intentionally linked to an identified individual, such as a name, email address, or account profile.

Where advertising identifiers or similar technical identifiers are used, they are processed in accordance with platform rules and user consent, and are not used by TerraByte to establish a direct association with a user’s real-world identity.

4. Advertising & Tracking

The Apps may display advertisements and use advertising technologies.

  • Advertising identifiers (such as IDFA or GAID) are used only where permitted by platform policies
  • On iOS, tracking for advertising purposes occurs only after you provide consent under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework
  • If you do not grant consent, tracking for advertising purposes does not occur
  • You can manage or withdraw your advertising and tracking preferences at any time through your device’s privacy settings

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers to support the operation of the Apps, including:

  • Analytics providers
  • Advertising networks
  • Infrastructure and service providers

Some information described in this Privacy Policy may be shared with these third parties solely for the purposes outlined above.

These third parties process information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and in accordance with applicable laws and contractual obligations.

TerraByte does not sell personal data and remains responsible for compliance with applicable privacy laws and platform requirements.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill operational, legal, or security purposes.

When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable practices.

7. User Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have certain rights regarding information processed through the Apps, including the right to access information, request deletion, or object to certain processing activities.

Because the Apps do not require users to create accounts, requests related to these rights are handled on a device-based basis. To fulfill and verify such requests, TerraByte may rely on technical device identifiers (such as IDFV, IDFA, or GAID, where permitted and subject to platform rules and user consent) to identify the relevant device or session.

These identifiers are used solely to process and respond to your request and are not used to establish a direct association with your real-world identity.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Apps are not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the Apps, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. International Data Transfers

Information collected through the Apps may be processed or stored in countries where our service providers operate.

When information is transferred across borders, TerraByte takes reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and appropriate safeguards.

10. Security

We take the security of information processed through the Apps seriously.

TerraByte implements reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or the Apps.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Apps after the changes become effective indicates acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
